GEM YOUNG PROFESSIONAL FORUM

1 John 2:12-14; Joel 2:29-29; Acts 2:17,18.  The young men in the church are said to be strong, with divine ability to overcome the wicked one. These are the young men who are to ‘see vision’ for the growth and expansion of the church and take on leadership responsibilities in the future.

Unfortunately, these young and vibrant youths are the prime targets of the devil for the following reasons:

-          They are usually well educated and the power house of the church.

-          They are the future missionaries and leaders of the church

-          They possess the ability to take the church to greater heights and win new territories for Christ

-          They are vibrant and dynamic, providing a good source of income for the church’s outreach programmes.

-          They are a powerful resource for youth and campus ministries.

-          They possess technical, technological and scientific skills to assist the church with her projects and training programmes.

 Purpose of YPF

-          To spread the gospel among the target group (young adults) through strategic, targeted and result-oriented outreach programs.

-          To make all Young Professionals add value to their societies and the nation at large

-          To bridge the generational gap between the young professionals and the adult church

-          To develop an innovative and leadership mindset in the young professionals

Strategies/Mode Of Operation

-          Hold weekly meetings to mobilize young professionals on Group of District basis. This will be done on District basis with time.

-          Hold quarterly YPF programs for all young professionals (members and new commers) on Old District basis all over Lagos

-          Hold YPF Skill Acquisition Programmes in batches within the year.

-          Hold annual YPF management summit once in a year.
